The popular Chinese proverb states, "If you are planning for a year, sow rice, if you are planning for a decade, plant trees, if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people." This sums up the entire philosophy of the time and life of Mr. Krishnamurthy, a visionary, who founded Vellore Polytechnic College (VPT) in 2010 with a vision of providing quality education and employment for the rural youth of Vellore. His profound qualities of enthusiasm, perseverance and vision created a springboard for the students who graduated from the college to mould their careers.
Mr. Krishnamurthy, though born in an ordinary middle class family, by dint of his hard work, rose to become an educationist. He held on to his dreams and converted them into reality. His relentless work drove him to success. Through VPT, he helped the students explore their own potential. He made them realize that education, hard work and commitment to the nation are the only means to achieve personal excellence besides contributing to close the skill gaps that exist in the country.
He firmly believed, "Every human being has infinite potential. The role of an educator is to bring out the best in every individual and that of an educational institution by providing the best possible facilities and a dedicated team of faculty. His personality had all the nuances of a visionary and a great human being.
He valued commitment and hard work that has percolated down to the rank and file of the institution. The best tribute we can ever offer this architect of VPT is to emulate his ideals and work towards realizing his dreams.
